bianca + matt – 9.7.10

Happy Monday, everyone!  I hope you all are enjoying this beautiful kick off to a week that will usher us into October!  (Yes, October… can you believe it??)  Here in southern California it is unseasonably warm (and by warm I mean triple-digit temperatures), but thankfully the pool is under 80 degrees.  ;-)  I am still recovering from my 18-hour wedding day on Saturday and have a bit of poolside relaxation in mind for this afternoon…

Today I’m excited to share Matt & Bianca’s beautiful wedding with you!  When you scroll through these pictures you might be wondering why photographer Jasmine Star got married again, and to someone else.  LOL  Jasmine happens to have an identical twin sister named Bianca, and yes, this means double the gorgeousness in their family!!  Anna and I were both a part of the planning and coordination of this intimate semi-destination wedding that took place earlier this month.  The day was so lovely from start to finish thanks to the incredible vendors on board, and the touching ceremony set the record for most tears shed by a wedding planner…  Anna and I were both blown away by their heartfelt personal vows.  <3  Enjoy the wonderful photos courtesy of Jasmine Star and Stephanie Fay!

Bianca wore a dramatic and elegant Pronovias gown

Here’s Anna holding a tray of structural succulent boutonnières, made by the talented Jaclyne of Heavenly Blooms.  I loooved working with her on this wedding; she is a sweetheart and really puts her heart into everything she touches.

Jasmine and Bianca doing a little pre-wedding dancing… :)

Beautiful Bianca was the portrait of a joyful and radiant bride.  I loved her bouquet made with deep burgundy peonies, creamy gardenias, ivory and white roses and of course, her favorite succulents.

Matt, the happy groom!

I love these two photos, especially side by side.  Bliss.

A little pre-ceremony refreshment courtesy of the most perfect petite farm table from {found} vintage rentals, spigoted mason jars from Pottery Barn filled with passion iced tea and mint berry water and bien sûr, pint-sized mason jars and striped paper straws.  I know the straws are everywhere but I am still not over their simple sweetness.

These playful succulent-shaped fans were a special project by the bride.  Instead of listing typical program info, she turned it into a key to some of the design elements weaved through the day, explaining why various things were chosen.  It showed guests how the entire wedding had been carefully and thoughtfully designed to really capture Matt & Bianca’s unique relationship.

The courtyard at Sunstone is perfection, and it was MADE for the vintage white pews that {found} brought in.  Add tufts of creamy white hydrangea and you get this beautiful scene.

The charming flowergirl + her inventive succulent “purse.”

“Wait!  We forgot to exchange the rings!”  :)  Bianca’s father called the couple back post-recessional — because the wedding was so intimate (50 guests), the crowd made up of family and closest friends just laughed as the couple returned to the altar.  I know this will be a cute memory of their day that they’ll share years and years down the road…

And then Pancho said something like, “And now you may kiss my daughter!”  LOL

Escort cards were nestled amongst succulents on a vintage riddling rack, another piece from {found}.  Allison @ {found} gets the credit for this lovely display — she even created a diagram mapping out the placement of her vintage bottles amongst the rack, and where Jaclyne could place various succulent clusters.  She’s a girl after my own detail-oriented heart.

Four dining tables were set in the lounge area of Root 246, a Bradley Ogden restaurant in Solvang.  If you find yourself in this little Danish enclave, dinner here is a must.

Textural tablescapes with gold mercury glass, rustic wooden boxes, and antique brass and copper…

The dessert table was incredible!!  Lots and lots of amazing props from {found}: vintage mirrors and finials, end tables and crates… all placed against a layered backdrop of some of their massive vintage doors.

love succulently.  bianca + matt: wishing you a lifetime of steadfast love and companionship, and all the blessings your cup can hold.  <3

I hope you all enjoyed this little peek at their day!  You can see more + a slideshow of images in Jasmine’s blog post HERE.
