i am happy to share with you some beautiful photos from another wedding i worked on earlier this year! i was instantly excited about the concept danielle was developing for her wedding when she sent me her first email. she expressed her desire for a modern-styled wedding using bold pops of color and lots of clean lines. her palette, incorporating soft aqua blue and a true red, just thrilled me! how unique and fun! i knew it would feed my own creative soul to work with her on her wedding.
our initial consultation (over pumpkin spice lattes – yum!) proved what i had assumed: we clicked right away! i had a blast working with her on all the special touches that made her day truly one of a kind.
all of these lovely photos are courtesy of the fantastic michael norwood. he was so much fun at this wedding! i enjoyed his laid back style and of course, the brilliant images he produced. we have another wedding together this friday; can’t wait! make sure you check out michael’s BLOG for a look at his latest work.
i’m very much in love with these striking altar arrangements, made of manzanita branches (painted white), featuring bold clusters of hot red carnations
a hip outdoor lounge using furniture from ikea
mashed potatoes in a martini glass… always a winner
fabulous vendors included the aforementioned michael norwood, who took all of these great photos, diddy riese cookies who provided the yummy favors, and sarah witt from for the love of sugar who made the adorable cake. (i know some people don’t enjoy the texture of fondant, but i have to say i looove the look of a cake perfectly dressed in a draping of the sugary confection.)
d+p — thank you for inviting me into your lives and allowing me to work with you in crafting this fun, fresh, and utterly delightful event! danielle: i am especially thankful for the special friendship we were able to develop while working together! i’m so blessed to call you a friend! i’m looking forward to catching up soon over lunch and some gocco goodness! (thanks to d+p, i will soon be the owner of a gocco!) xoxo
