sneak peek – 4.19.08

saturday’s wedding was another beautiful, joy-filled event. 😉 i do have a few snaps I was able to capture before my camera’s battery died… haha i’m not worried, since the fab mike & emi of evoke photography were there to shoot all the beautiful details. i will definitely re-post once i have those professional pictures. for now, here’s a little something to whet the appetite.

the ceremony took place at gorgeous st. vincent’s catholic church in downtown L.A.

this fluffy bed of carnations made a striking and whimsical “table” for escort cards.

romantic, textural centerpieces were lushly-packed with roses, gloriosa lillies, and dahlias. curly willow added height and dimension.

the tablesetting featured pink silken linens, chocolate brown napkins (with a menu printed on soft pink cardstock), and mahogany chiavari chairs… all from elegant designs specialty linens.

the bride and groom were so calm and happy throughout the day. many happy tears were shed, including mine!!, during the touching toasts. most priceless of all, however, was a moment near the end of the evening. i heard the upbeat sounds of “heaven must be missing an angel” by tavares playing. everyone was dancing and having a great time, when i noticed the bride running over to me. she smiled and said she had told the DJ to play this song specifically for me. “i bet everyone does this for you, but i just wanted you to have your own song! you’re our angel!” i seriously almost cried. haha how sweet is that?? who gets songs dedicated to them at a wedding?! i have the best job ever…
