saturday i had the absolute pleasure of coordinating a wedding for a couple i adore. we spent 9 months planning together and the culmination was just perfect. i even spoke to the bride the next morning about just how incredible it was! 😉 monika began with the vision of a day that was clean, elegant, and evoked vintage glamour while still integrating some modern touches. i felt that the wedding perfectly realized her vision. most importantly, the day was overflowing with happiness and love. walking through the day felt like a dream to me, and i truly felt blessed to be a part of it all.
in addition to working with a great couple, i had superstar vendors on board. vendor DREAM TEAM. seriously. kristin of the treasured petal provided the elegant, clean, and monochromatic arrangements for the wedding. the crisp white centerpieces were ideal contrasts against the bold-colored linens. black was the accent color, coming in with the napkin ties and stationery. elysium was on board for videography, linens were custom ordered from wildflower linen, photoworks interactive brought the ever-popular photobooth, and the band Masta (of deBois Entertainment) provided fabulous music.
with these tried and true favorites, i worked with one particular vendor that i had been been dying to meet… photographer/entrepreneur extraordinaire jessica claire! EVERYONE in the wedding biz knows her name; she is an amazing photographer with a true gift for her craft. she also has a killer sense of style! we had a wonderful time on saturday; she is as fun as she is talented! it was a delight finally getting to work together and i look forward to many future collaborations! (shout outs to her fab 2nd shooters that day, braedon and mark!)
today i woke up overjoyed to see that jessica had posted some pro pics (along with some very kind words; thank you jessica!) in the wee hours. i am so excited to share them with you! because jessica is jessica, all of the photos are incredible. so, i just chose a “few” of my favorites. make sure to head to her blogsite to check out the rest, as well as a link to a gallery with even more eye candy! (p.s. don’t forget to check out the post below with a link to the couple’s grand entrance dance!!)
now on to those photos!!
monika’s vintage-inspired headpiece with birdcage veil and feather flower accent. adore it!
monika’s bouquet was a vision of textural, monochromatic florals. i spy gardenia, callas, roses, lisianthus, and black-centered gerber daises.
monika is always stunning, but on her wedding day she was simply radiant.
nicholas made a handsome groom, too!
a vintage-feeling series of their exit from the church, complete with (forbidden! hehe) bubbles. our covert operation succeeded!
this pic is perfect. loove the gorgeous vintage rolls royce they rented.
they made great use of the car!! 😉
i love the tenderness in this one.
joy! joy is a one word definition of their day.
the room was decked out in gorgeous silk dupioni linens and white chiavaris. i loooved the nubby texture of the linens and the way the white florals popped against their bold citron hue.
at the end of the night, monika, nicholas and i were able to gleefully reflect on the beauty and perfection of the day. what a reward. it is always my #1 goal that the couple is completely delighted with the results of the day. i still feel like i’m the lucky one, being able to work with a couple that is head-over-heels in love with each other. they oozed bliss all day long and it was a delight to witness their sweet exchanges. congrats again, m&n!! looking forward to catching up upon your return from tahiti!
just another day at work! 😉 thanks again to jessica for these intensely gorgeous images.
hope you all have a deloooovely tuesday. this saturday will tie up my three-in-a-row wedding extravaganza before my one weekend break before another three-in-a-row!! 😀 saturday’s wedding is very near and dear to my heart (i know, i say that about every wedding! but i really mean it!) and i am counting down until the big day. can’t wait to share the bold & beautiful details with you!
