this post is a little bit of a tease. 😉 although my mother’s gorgeous wedding has now come and gone, i am unable to share photos just yet. later today you can count on a post filled with beautiful, professional photos courtesy of my dear & talented friend trista lerit. until then, you will have to trust me that everything was truly marvelous. mom & husband (!) married on friday evening, surrounded by 20 of their very closest friends and family. the weather, décor and company could not have been better. all of the vendors exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds, and mom & husband were immensely pleased. it was an ultimately satisfying experience to know that all of the hard work i put into planning, crafting and coordinating the event was so commended by mom. 😉
i won’t leave you completely hanging this morning, though. i thought i’d share with you some snapshots from my stay at the luxurious bacara resort & spa. many guests stayed on property for ease and i was over-the-moon about the opportunity to do so myself. we stayed in an ocean-view room (with private balcony patio) for two nights and enjoyed every decadent detail of the resort. breakfast in bed? check. bubble bath? check. leisurely lunch by the pool? check. free shoe shine service (for erik…haha)? check! we skipped the $50 manicures and $400 massages, though. 😉 our friendly concierge directed us to a nail salon about 2 miles away where we could get our nails done for about $12. and as for the massage, i have a spa gift cert that i intend on redeeming in the next couple of weeks. i returned from the weekend floating on the high of the success of mom’s wedding, but also refreshed from my relaxing stay at bacara. here are a few glimpses…
the view from our room…
as pseudo-VIPs, we were greeted by an offering of fresh & dried fruits, evian + a bottle of bubbly.
the king-sized bed, made with pure white linens. i wanted to take the pretty embroidered quilt home with me!
i squealed with delight to find that bacara stocks their bathrooms with toiletries from fresh… one of my faves!! although hesperides remains my preferred fresh scent, i stocked up on sugar lychee lotion during my stay. 😉
brioche french toast with strawberries: so good i had it for breakfast two days in a row. 😉
anna prefers eggs & ham. 😉 not pictured: ridiculously tasty leek hash browns that i vow to *try* to recreate. scrumptious!!
if you’re in the mood for luxury, i highly recommend a stay at bacara. if you are considering a wedding at the bacara, definitely let me know! i’d love an excuse to go back!
